COLUMBUS (WCMH) –  Dwayne Haskins set numerous Ohio State and Big Ten records in one season as the starting quarterback at Ohio State. Now he’ll set his eyes on a record-setting professional career.

Haskins announced Monday he will enter the 2019 NFL Draft. According to numerous draft scouts, Haskins should be the top quarterback available in this year’s draft. In the 2018 Draft, every player taken inside the top 10 picks signed at least an $11 Million signing bonus.

Haskins should at least go in the top 10, possibly top 5 picks.

Haskins threw 50 touchdown passes in his redshirt sophomore season, setting a new Big Ten record.

Haskins sat in the stands at Saturday’s OSU basketball game with new OSU quarterback Justin Fields. Fields announced last week he will transfer to Ohio State and seek immediate eligibility. He was the nation’s #1 overall recruit in 2018.

Haskins made the announcement in a Twitter post Monday.

Buckeye Nation, I would like to thank you for everything. You have made this experience a blessing. As a young kid, I had dreams of playing at The Ohio State since the age of 10 years old. God has blessed me with an opportunity to go achieve another dream. The NFL. After many thoughts and prayers with family and close friends. I have decided to declare for the 2019 NFL draft. To my coaches, teammates and friends that I’ve made at this prestigious university, THANK YOU! To Buckeye Nation, what an unbelievable experience. I love this university and will support it for the rest of my life
