The West Virginia Roughriders have announced a partnership with WTRF-TV for their inaugural season in the Friendly City.
WTRF will provide coverage throughout the upcoming season on both the air and web, as well as providing advertising for the team — such as this year’s Super Bowl commercial from the Roughriders.
“Our team and entire organization automatically gain strength with our partnership with WTRF-TV and the incredible people they have working for them,” said Jesse Heninger, the director of operations and marketing for the Roughriders. “Our goal with this partnership is not only to help continue to build in our first year here in the Valley but to push forward into new and farther-reaching places where we can truly represent the entire state as well as eastern Ohio and southwestern Pennsylvania.”
The Roughriders kick off their first season at WesBanco Arena on March 23 against the Burgh Defenders.
For Mountaineer fans, they should expect to see some familiar faces, such as former WVU players Noel Devine and Jarrett Brown.
