The Follansbee Police Department confirms that Route 2 remains closed as of Sunday morning. There is no estimated time for the road to reopen.

UPDATE 11:00 p.m.: Route 2 is still closed according to Brooke County officials. They tell 7News it looks like it won’t be open until Sunday at the earliest.
BROOKE COUNTY, W.Va. (WTRF) — West Virginia Route 2 is closed north of the Wabash Bridge near Follansbee.
Brooke County 911 says the route is impassible to traffic due to a mud slide.
They do not yet have an estimated time for when the road will reopen.
