Mudslide closes WV Route 2 between Sistersville and Paden City

Heavy amounts of rain in recent days have caused a mudslide on West Virginia Route 2 between Sistersville and Paden City.

WVDOH officials estimate that the route will remain closed until sometime Friday.

A detour is available for motorists travelling between Tyler and Wetzel Counties.

Drivers can take Route 2 to Route 180, followed by Route 18 and then back to Route 2.
