The remnants of former Tropical Storm Gordon has evolved to a potent rain-making system. This low pressure system, in Missouri, will slowly move into northern Ohio this weekend. Numerous showers with some rumbles of thunder will sweep through our area Sunday and Sunday night. The heaviest rains are expected between Sunday morning and Monday morning. Two to four inches of rain is possible near and north of I-70.

Prepare for flooding in flood prone areas. We will also keep an eye on the Ohio River as this heavy rain could lead to rising water levels through mid next week.

The winds will blow from the east and northeast this weekend. This will bring much cooler air for the weekend.
